New – Prenatal Pregnancy Pilates Class Re-Starts Wednesday 22nd October 2014 in South Dublin

Prenatal and Antenatal Pilates Classes in South Dublin, Dublin 14, Chruchtown Most women who have kids and took part in Maternity Fitness or Pilates Classes know of the benefits of those kind of classes e.g. 1. easier birth, 2. a stronger pelvic floor,  3. an hour out for yourself, 4. and a chat with girls who are in the same situation as you.

Join on Wednesday 22nd October 2014 for our next 6 week Prenatal Pilates Course.

New Beginners Pilates Class – Tuesday 7.15pm starts 9th September 2014 in South Dublin

A new Beginners Pilates Course will start next Tuesday evening 7.15pm-8.3pm in South Dublin, Churchtown – Fitnecise Studios.

This Pilates Course is for complete Beginners or those who only did a few classes of Pilates exercises before.

You will learn the basics e.g.
1. Neutral Spine
2. Lateral Breathing
3. Core / TVA Contraction
and various core strengthening, tummy toning and back strengthening exercises.

Pilates Beginners Level Class Tuesday Evening starting early/mid September 2014 in South Dublin, Churchtown, above Howard's Way Restaurant.

Those Pilates exercises will also help you to improve posture, if you do them regularly e.g. before breakfast or just after coming back from work when all your back, neck and shoulder muscles a tight.

It will help you to loosen and relax those areas and, as mentioned before, is great for toning e.g. your tummy, legs and abs.

We run different morning and evening Kettlebell Classes in our Fitnecise Studios. Kettlebell classes are ideal if you want to get a workout that combines general fitness, cardio fitness, weight-loss, strength-gain and toning.

Kettlebell Classes take place:
1. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday morning.
2. Monday and Thursday evening.

We plan to add additional Kettlebell classes over the coming months.

Pilates for men, Mens Pilates Core Strength Exercises in South Dublin, Ireland, Dublin 14 - Fitnecise Studios with MartinI’m going to start a new set of “Men Only Pilates” and “Mens Core Strength” Classes in our Churchtown Village, Dublin 14 Fitnecise Studio on Monday 1st September 2014 and Wednesday 3rd September 2014.

The class format differs slightly from my general, mixed gender Pilates classes. I focus on making the class more specific to the needs, objectives and goals of men.

We include:

  1. more flexibility work and stretches, as most guys are lacking flexibility. This will help to prevent injury.
  2. additional mobility and mobilization exercises, to up joint mobility, to prevent injury.
  3. add a few more general strength exercises e.g. Push-Up, Press-Up variations, simple Body-Weight Squats etc. in general multi-joint exercises.
  4. we will use various equipment e.g. Foamrollers, Fit Circles (also called Pilates Rings), various hand weights, Gym/Swiss Balls etc. to keep the classes interesting and varied.
  5. plus general Pilates and Core Strength exercises to:
    • increase your general abdominal, core strength
    • improve mid and lower back strength
    • better back and spine mobility
    • boost flexibility

Our Mens Pilates Classes last for 1 hour, there is a 15min gap between classes to change over to the next class and to make sure you get a guaranteed full one hour class.

Classes take place:
1. Monday 8.30-9.30pm – Level 1 – Mens Pilates – Intermediate
2. Wednesday 7.15-8.15pm – Level 2 – Mens Pilates – Beginners

Needed One-to-One Pilates Instructor for Booterstown, Blackrock, South Dublin

Are you a Pilates Instructor who teaches Pilates Classes in the greater South Dublin area?

Yesterday I got an inquiry for 1-2-1 / Private Pilates Classes, Sessions in Booterstown, close to Blackrock, South Dublin.

It is for a couple, husband and wife, who want to do regular, ongoing evening Pilates sessions. They look for a 6-8 week block initially.

The class focus should ideally be
1. Pilates
2. possibly a bit Yoga
3. elements of Relaxation
4. Core – Mid Section Work

They are reasonable fit  and want to try something different.

Kettlebell – Pilates – Fitness Class Timetable updated for July, August 2014 in South Dublin, D14

I just updated our July – August 2014 Fitness Class Timetable for our South Dublin based Fitnecise Studio classes.

We had to merge a few classes together for the summer months, as a good few of our regular Pilates and Kettlebell class participants are taking breaks, going on deserved holidays, our class instructors take breaks, plus we take a time out as well. The studio will be closed for holidays Friday 25th July until Sunday 10th August.

We also plan to introduce Saturday late morning, lunchtime Pilates Classes from early September onward.
