Glendalough Hill Walk 28th April 2015 - Fitnecise Studios, we meet at 9am Braemor Rooms, Churchtown Village, Dublin 14I’m delighted to announce our second Fitnecise Hill Walk, which will take place in three weeks. Another step to get you fitter and trimmer, plus a change to meet you fellow Fitneciers. We will head to Glendalough for a hike on Saturday 18th April 2015 and meet at 9am in Churchtown. The hike will take, at most 3.5 hours from the carpark at the Interpretative Centre up by the lakes to the Miner’s village and up the ZigZags to the bridge, up the boardwalk to the top of Spinc and down through the forest and back by the tracks. The total climb is around 450 mtrs and the distance is around 12.5 kms.

Please bring (as recommended by our experienced mountaineering  guide – Gráinne)
1. Proper boots, rain wear and layering under their rain jacket.
2. A packed lunch with water, tea, coffee in a flask
3. A spare hat and gloves
4. Walking poles if used
5. NO JEANS to be worn – lightweight /and/or waterproof trousers are best
6. Sun tan lotion

Dong Yang
, comes from a traditional Chinese Kung Fu family. He is a native of Jin Lin province and an 8th-generation Shaolin Fo Han practitioner, a distinctive ancestral or family tradition-style learned under Grandmaster Zhang Qi Chen.

He is a member of the Chinese Wushu Association, and is a qualified instructor in Taiji Quan (Tai Chi), Shaolin Fo Han Quan, and San Shou (Chinese kick boxing).

Since first beginning to teach in Ireland back in 2003, he has instructed a number of students in Navan, Drogheda, and Dublin. These classes have steadily increased in size and ability over time. As a result of this ongoing interest in Chinese martial arts, he believes that the time is now right to establish a school of instruction that aims to be a model of best practice, and lay firm foundations for an organisation dedicated to the cultivation of a martial discipline uniting the best of Chinese martial philosophy and praxis into a dynamic and integrated whole.

He has been invited to teach in various schools e.g. Greenhills Girls School, St Joseph’s School in Drogheda, St Michael’s school, Meath Youth Federation, Beaufort College In Navan, Trim Community School, Trim VEC, Trim special sports club, Sancta Maria College, Master Chrsti secondary school in Dublin, Irish Life company in Dundalk, European Commission in Grange etc..

Mindful Movement Class starts 16th February, 2015 in South Dublin

Mindful Movement Pilates Yoga Classes with Dagmara Jerzak Pilates Instructor Contemporary Dance Artist South Dublin, Fitnecise Studios, Churchtown Village, D14Our “Mindful Movement Class” with Dagmara Jerzak (Contemporary Dance Artist, Choreographer and Pilates Instructor) starts Monday 16th February 2015, 11am.
It is a new class which will draw from different movement disciplines such as
1. Yoga 2. Pilates 3. Somatics Movement Education and 4. Contemporary Dance

This class is designed for people who are interested in understanding the mechanics of their own body and the ways of easing any unnecessary tension in the body.

The class will be rather slow paced with emphasis on the breath, body-mind connection, and fluidity within the movement. It’s suitable for anyone with or without previous experience in movement classes and for those with open mind and curiosity.
