3rd Boot Camp Fitness Class per week in South Dublin introduced – starts Wed 18th April

New Wednesday Fitness Bootcamp Classes in South Dublin Weekends - Loreto Park - Rathfarnham, Nutgrove, close to Dundrum IrelandYou can now choose between three different Boot Camp Fitness Classes

from Fitnecise Coaching (Martin) and Dynamic Fitness (Irfan) in South Dublin.

Our Bootcamp Classes take place in Loreto Park, beside Nutgrove Shopping Shopping Centre, a 4-5 minutes drive from Dundrum, Rathfarnham, Templogue, Sandyford. We use different fitness and exercise equipment to get you fitter, stronger, leaner. E.g. Medicine Balls, Gymsticks, Resistance Bands, Pilates Rings, Weights, Kettelbells, TRS – Suspension Training equipment etc. and of course your own body for effective body weight exercises.



Classes combine strengthening and toning exercises, cardio movements, core strength exercises to guarantee you get a proper workout and you achieve your fitness goal,  no matter whether it is Weight Loss, Strength Gain, Toning or Conditioning.

Classes take place:

  1. Monday Evening 7pm-8pm
  2. Wednesday Evening 7pm-8pm
    (starting 18th April 2012)
  3. Saturday late morning 11am-12pm

One of the conclusion of the study it that you have to change your diet and the way you eat and ideally exercise daily.

“The data is very strong that exercise is crucial to not only losing weight and preserving muscle mass, but keeping the weight off.”, increasing  lean body mass – muscles will help you to keep your metabolism buzzing, burning those unwanted bits of body fat.

Adding a few pound of lean tissue is done via resistance – weight training, body weight exercises e.g. Push-Up, Squats etc., you don’t necessarily need any fancy equipment, nor do you need to join a gym. You might get a few affordable, small pieces of fitness equipment e.g. a gym or Swiss ball, some weights, possibly a kettlebell, a Pilates or stretching mat and you are able to do lot of exercises at home, no need to commute, no expensive gym membership (which a lot of people don’t actually use).

“What people want is to lose weight and maintain or increase lean tissue mass,” Manore said. “There is no evidence that any one supplement does this. And some have side effects ranging from the unpleasant, such as bloating and gas, to very serious issues such as strokes and heart problems.”

You main goal should be to adapt a slightly different lifestyle, mainly focusing on
1. Whole Grains
2. Fruit
3. Vegetable
4. Lean Meats
5. Reducing your calorie intake of high-fat foods
6. Staying physically active
7. Possibly increasing your protein intake to maintain lean body tissue, muscle.

It is in a certain way rather simple, once you established new habits, routines and a regular program that is 1. realistic and 2. maintainable.

Lifestyle Changes Help Type 2 Diabetics – Keep Moving is the main message

“Weight loss and exercise prevent disability, study finds.”

“If all you do is lose weight, the danger of losing muscle mass is greater. The message is that you need to lose weight and be active to enhance your function and not lose muscle mass,” Rejeski – New England Journal of Medicine.

For every reduction of 1 percent of body weight, there was a 7.3 percent reduction in the risk of mobility disability. For every 1 percent improvement in fitness, there was a 1.4 percent drop in the risk of mobility disability. But, Rejeski pointed out that doing both interventions is best for your overall health.

Inspirational Quote – Robin Sharma author “The monk who sold his Ferrari”

Check Robin Sharma wrote several books on self management, time management – leader ship. All worth while checking out.

I loved “The monk who sold his Ferrari”, he wrote another book called “The leader without a title”, which is apposed to be good as well. It seem to be more about leading yourself, rather than leading others.

He posts motivational saying and quotes, daily on his log and facebook page. It is definitively worthwhile following.
