Here a sample list of conditions which can be treated:
Shoulder Condition, Tennis Elbow, Tendonitis, Muscle Strains, Joint Sprains, Injury Prevention, Repetitive Strain Injuries, Postural Strain, Postural Education, Hip Knee & Foot Conditions, Back Dysfunction Pain, Pelvic Dysfunction Pain, Sciatica.
These types of treatment either relieve or to prevent pain and help you in playing sport or performing daily activities.
1. Neuromuscular Therapy:
Neuromuscular Therapy is a form of massage that provides recovery from acute and chronic pain syndromes. This hands-on treatment is designed to treat and help prevent joint and soft tissue problems. It incorporates massage techniques along with trigger point therapy and specific stretching to help relieve pain and aid in the recovery of injuries whether derived from accidents, postural or biomechanical sports injury, or long-term stresses caused by work or day to day living. This very specific and scientific approach to muscular pain helps to balance the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system and will complement all other health care modalities.
2. Corrective Exercise:
Corrective exercise is a very precise method that uses scientific testing to pinpoint postural problems and muscle imbalances. Using a plumb line and other measurement tools, tight and weak musculature is identified, postural deviations are detected. From this assessment a very specific stretch and strength programme is designed to address the imbalances and strengthen the body inside and out. Biomechanical movement patterns are evaluated and exercises are taught that not only enhance the body’s ability to move and function, but also enhance the shape.
3. Postural Analysis
Poor posture will place abnormal weight on joints, stress muscles and tendons and dramatically change our appearance. Quite often poor posture is the underlying cause of pain problems. By identifying postural issues through assessment of body alignment, testing of musculature to determine and address imbalances that may be causing misalignment, correction of breathing mechanics, and by learning and incorporating proper movement patterns into our day to day activity, the likelihood of long term pain relief and better quality of living is much higher than solely treating the pain itself. Our posture programme focuses on rehabilitative postures that will address pain issues, help to de-stress the body both mentally and physically, teach diaphragmatic breathing, and help make you look and feel better.
