I’m delighted to announce our second Fitnecise Hill Walk, which will take place in three weeks. Another step to get you fitter and trimmer, plus a change to meet you fellow Fitneciers. We will head to Glendalough for a hike on Saturday 18th April 2015 and meet at 9am in Churchtown. Find all the details below. ( Please book via our online-booking system -> click “Pick date”)

The hike will take, at most 3.5 hours from the carpark at the Interpretative Centre up by the lakes to the Miner’s village and up the ZigZags to the bridge, up the boardwalk to the top of Spinc and down through the forest and back by the tracks. The total climb is around 450 mtrs and the distance is around 12.5 kms.
Please bring (as recommended by our experienced mountaineering guide – Gráinne)
1. Proper boots, rain wear and layering under their rain jacket.
2. A packed lunch with water, tea, coffee in a flask
3. A spare hat and gloves
4. Walking poles if used
5. NO JEANS to be worn – lightweight /and/or waterproof trousers are best
6. Sun tan lotion
